Tema Frank
Tema Frank founded Frank Communications in 1990 to help employers communicate their ideas and policies clearly to employees, customers, governments and the public. Clients have included: Apple Canada, Du Pont Canada, the Canadian Bankers' Association, the Canadian Mental Health Association, Credit Union Central of Ontario, the Edmonton Public School Board, KPMG, Richardson Greenshields, the Ontario Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations, The Rider Travel Group, and Xerox.
She is the author of the best-selling book, "Canada's Best Employers for Women: A Guide for Job Hunters, Employees and Employers", which was nominated for a Business Book of the Year Award. She has given many talks to employers about best employment practices and to employees and students about career management issues. Tema (pronounced to rhyme with Emma) has also been interviewed on several national and local television and radio shows, including Canada AM, Business World, and the CBC News. She has given interviews in both English and French.
Tema has an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. She has also been an active board member of many non-profit organizations in public policy and the arts.
Before opening her own business, she worked in marketing, public affairs, and business-government relations for over a decade. Her writing about business and marketing has appeared in national publications, such as Chatelaine, Profit: The Magazine for Canadian Entrepreneurs, Canadian Banker, CA Magazine, Canadian Business Review, Canadian HR Reporter, Montreal Gazette, University Affairs.
